The Maibock is a traditional strong, malty, big-bodied, light-amber, Bavarian lager. This lager has light toasted quality with medium-low toffee and bready undertones. Our Maibock is crafted on a large floor-malted German pilsner base then blended with Munich and Vienna malts, and touched up with aroma and coloring malts. While most Maibocks have a medium bitterness, we decided to knock down the bittering hops to make it a bit more approachable. However, like most Maibock, after fermentation, we allowed this one to mature and mellow-out at lagering temperatures for about 14 weeks for a well-rounded finish, making this a perfect lager to enjoy after a long day on our Midwestern back roads!
